Guaranteed pay & minimum contract values allow you to set a weekly pay for carers and a daily or weekly charge for a clients contract.

⚠️ For either guaranteed pay or a minimum contract value to be calculated, the contract must be the default contract for the carer or client.

Guaranteed pay

This option allows you to pay a carer at least a weekly value for their work. To set this up, open up a carer contract type and scroll down to the section marked 'guaranteed pay'. You will need to enable this option before entering the value into the text box.

In the above example, the carer will get paid at least £200 per week.

Exceptions

If the contract also has an hourly rate, it is possible for the carer to get paid more than the guaranteed pay. Every booking or shift will contribute towards the guaranteed amount with two possible outcomes. Where the weekly value is not reached, the carer will get paid the guaranteed amount. Anything the carer earns over this, the carer will also be paid for.

Minimum contract value

The minimum contract value allows you to charge a client either a daily, or a weekly value for their service. Open up a service contract type and scroll down to the minimum contract value section before enabling it.

First you must choose whether the value is weekly, or daily. Then you can add in the amount for the contract.

There is also a label section which will allow you to choose how it will be displayed on an invoice.

Rules

You are able to apply rules to a minimum contract value to change the value if either a public holiday or special day are included.

You will need to name the rule, and there are two sections; conditions and actions.

Conditions:

  • Source - Date range

  • Operator - Contains

  • Value -

    • Special day

    • public holiday

Actions:

  • Source - Line item

  • Operator -

    • Add - Add an additional value to the original amount

    • Subtract - Remove a value from the original amount

    • Set - Set a new amount which will replace the original amount

  • Value - Amount
