When creating your client's schedule entries, you will be given the option to "create separate entries" if you have selected two or more days in the when section.
Repeated entry (default)
If you choose not to select create separate entries the entries will be created as repeated. This means that despite covering multiple days, the entry is one item. Any changes made to a repeated entry will be set across all days that the entry covers. All repeated entries will show an icon of two arrows forming a square
Repeated entries allow for quicker adjustment of schedule entries. If you need to make any changes to any factor, you only need to double click on one of the repeated days and make the amendment and it will apply to all days in the schedule.
This option will also allow for easier use of linked tasks. See here for more information.
Separate entry
Creating separate entries means that each day will have its own individual schedule entry. Because of this, you are able to amend each entry without affecting any of the other days.
Separate entries allow you to create more specific schedules, especially if you have different, set carers for each day of the week.
Can I change them once set?
If you choose repeated entries, you can choose to split them later on. This will create a new, individual schedule entry for each day that the schedule entry covered.
⚠️ Please check that you do not have any linked tasks to this schedule entry as this will cause a knock on effect and create a new task for each day of the schedule entry.
If you create them as separate entries, or have split a repeated entry, you are unable to group them together.
Bookings
Whether the schedule entry is repeated of separate has no bearing on the generated booking. Each booking can be adjusted individually from any other booking as needed.
