Carer Note

You can add a carer note to a visit to relay specific information. When applied to a scheduled entry the note will apply to all bookings generated from that entry. If it is added to an already generated booking, the note will only apply to that specific booking.

Carer notes can be viewed in the overview tab in the Carer Companion app and office staff can view, edit, or remove these notes from within the Management Portal.

You can also leave Private Comments inside the Visit Note that are only visible to office staff in the Notes section of the booking overview.

⚠️ Please note that these comments are not reportable.

Journal Note

The client journal is a log that records all correspondence with a client, including carer notes, departure comments and handover notes. There are three ways to update the client journal:

  • Leaving a carer or handover note using the app.

  • Leaving a check-out comment through the app.

  • Creating entries via the management portal.

Whenever a check-out is made using the Carer Companion app, any notes left at that time will be uploaded to the client journal.

Access the client's journal by heading to Clients > [Client's name] > Journal and then click on the + icon located in the top right corner to create a journal entry in the management portal. This can only be seen by office staff.

⚠️ Please note that the journal can only be accessed through the Management Portal, and not by the care circle or the app.
