New options for how to set a password for a user account

When creating an account for a new user in your environment, you now have three options for setting up their password:

  • Send invitation by email

  • Generate a random password

  • Send invitation by email

To set a password via email:

  1. When creating the new account, click Send email invitation.

    The new user receives an email with a secure link to set their own password.

To generate a password:

  1. Click Generate random password.

    • Click the Copy icon on the right to save the password.

    • Note that passwords are case-sensitive.

To set a password manually:

  1. Click Set password manually and enter a password. Enter the password again to confirm it.

    • Make sure to add a password that meets security requirements.
