How to assign a Service Contract Type to a client to make the client active

How to add a Service Contract Type for a client in your environment

Every client must have a Service Contract Type assigned to them before they can be listed as active in your CareLineLive environment.

Before assigning a contract to a client, make sure you've read What are contracts.

To assign a contract for a client:

  1. To add a contract for a client, go to Contracts in their record.

  2. In Service Contracts, click the + icon.

  3. Select the Contract Type and add a name for it.

  4. Enter a date for the contract to start, or choose it from the calendar.

  5. You can add a finish date for the contract. For more information, see How to add a finish date to a client contract to make them inactive.
